racism act 4

Othello says the term "goats and monkey" to Lodovico when he shows up on the island. If someone were to say this term to Othello it would be very racist and would personally offend Othello. He would most likely get very upset and probably want to hurt whoever said it to him but instead Othello is the one saying this to white people. so if you think about the question lingers, is it right for Othello to be able to say this to other people but not okay for someone to call Othello it? Well i think it isn't necessarily fair that Othello can say this line but it would be racist if a white person were saying to a black person. But what if a black person were saying it to a black person? then it wouldn't matter right? In todays society even if a white person were to call a black person a nigger you would probably get slapped in the face and the black person would be really offended but if a black person went up to his friend who was a black person and say hey nigger then it wouldn't matter at all. Thats what they call each other thats their race and to them calling each other that is nothing but a different race calling them that is a huge deal. So it doesn't all make sense but it also doesn't make sense why Othello would say this in the first place. He probably thinks he has more power and it means something when he says like don't mess with me because is basically the only black person around.
